Pilates Classes Plus

Pilates

A range of mainly mat-based exercises based on the work of Joseph Pilates. Predominantly working on the core stabilising muscles of the trunk, it incorporates smooth, controlled floor exercises. Our exercises combined with our breathing method ensures you are working at submaximal loading and maintaining control so that you are protecting and supporting the pelvic floor and other potential herniations. A stronger deep abdominal core means that you will have better muscle efficiencies and movements.

Pilates is ideal for improving overall well-being, injury rehabilitation and prevention, and is suited to augment gym or sports fitness programmes, it takes time and commitment. It would be classed as a resistance training rather than cardiovascular training

This class has emerged from us doing the Pinc NEXT STEPS programme. The class combines the best pilates, yoga and cardiovascular exercises for a workout that is specifically designed to help with strength, flexibility and stamina.

stePilates is ideal for improving strength and mobility, increasing energy levels, strengthening core muscles and improving posture, improving fitness, improving breathing and reducing stress. It ticks the box for cardiovascular, resistance and relaxation training.

Pilates Plus 

Get the best of 3 practices with the complete mind and body benefits of Pilates, stretching and yoga in one class. This class will be a mix between pilates mat exercises, stretching and some yoga poses and will finish with a relaxation.

Pilates Plus is ideal for increasing strength and flexibility, toning core muscles and developing lean muscle mass and rejuvenating the body and mind. It ticks the box for cardiovascular, resistance and relaxation training.

Face-to-Face Classes

 

The terms are run for 10 weeks in line with the school terms, leaving our breaks to mostly fit in with the school holidays.

  • Bookings for those not already attending a class are open from midday Thursday 12th January 2022 
  • These classes are subject to sufficient numbers attending

Our Face-to-Face Classes

  • Run by Trained Pilates Instructors and/or Physiotherapists
  • Maximum 10 per class 
  • Run in the myphysio pilates studio
  • Pre-assessment is available on request 

Our Online Classes

  • Run by Trained Pilates Instructors and our Physiotherapists
  • Pre-assessment is available on request 
  • new classes regularly loaded onto our closed facebook page or a google site via your browser.
